What is the difference between electromagnetic valve and ele

Electric valves and solenoid valves are commonly used industrial equipment. The solenoid valve is also a kind of electric valve in the strict sense, but in the usual sense, we distinguish between the two. So what is the difference between these two devices? There is only one word difference, the following content will give you the answer.

What is a solenoid valve?

Solenoid valve, as its name implies, is an industrial equipment that uses electromagnetic force to control the medium. Control objects include but are not limited to hydraulic and pneumatic. This is a device that can be switched on and off quickly.

Solenoid valves are classified by principle

Solenoid valves can be divided into pilot type, direct-acting type and distributed direct-acting type according to the working principle.

Test solenoid valve

Principle: The energized coil generates magnetic force to open the pilot hole, the pressure in the upper cavity drops rapidly, and a high pressure difference is formed around the closure. The medium pressure pushes the closing member to move upward, and the valve opens; when power, the magnetic force disappears and the spring force guide hole is closed, the inlet pressure passes through the bypass hole, and the American Chamber of Commerce soon forms an upper and lower differential valve closing member, and the medium pressure pushes the member Move down until the shut-off valve is closed. The pneumatic solenoid valve shown in the figure is pilot operated.
Features: The upper limit of the fluid pressure range is high, and the installation method can be selected arbitrarily, both horizontally and vertically.

Note: The pilot solenoid valve has requirements for the pressure of the medium. Too low pressure will cause the solenoid valve to not work properly. Pay attention to this when using and maintaining.

Direct acting solenoid valve

Principle: Direct-acting solenoid valve, as the name implies, when energized, the coil generates magnetic force to lift the closing element from the valve seat to open the valve; when the power is turned off, the magnetic force disappears and the spring presses the closing member back to the valve seat and the valve closes.
Features: Since the magnetic force directly drives the closing part, there is no requirement for medium pressure, and the solenoid valve can work normally without medium.

Note: The diameter of the direct-acting solenoid valve generally does not exceed 25CM. Some hydraulic stations or small-diameter liquid control solenoid valves adopt direct-acting structures.
Distributed Direct Acting Solenoid Valve

Principle: It is a solenoid valve that combines direct action and pilot type. When there is no pressure difference, the magnetic force directly lifts the small pilot valve and the main valve closing part upwards in turn after energization, and the valve opens. When the inlet and outlet reach the starting pressure difference, the electromagnetic force guides the small valve, so that the pressure in the lower chamber of the main valve rises and the pressure in the upper chamber drops, thereby using the pressure difference to push the main valve upward; when the power is off, the pilot valve uses spring force or medium pressure Push the closing member downward to move the closing valve.

Features: The action is not affected by the pressure of the medium, but the power is large, and it must be installed horizontally due to structural reasons. Large diameter solenoid valves usually adopt this structure.

The solenoid valve has a simple structure and generally only has two states: on and off. Although the structure of the solenoid valve is not complicated, it is more accurate, so the cleanliness of the medium is also relatively high. Excessive impurities will affect the normal operation of the solenoid valve.

Frequently encountered problems in the use of solenoid valves

①The reason why the solenoid valve does not work

The coil is damaged or the coil is not energized;

For the pilot solenoid valve, the medium pressure may be insufficient;

The pneumatic valve may have too much moisture in the gas.

②The reason why the solenoid valve cannot be opened and closed normally

Excessive impurities in the medium cause poor sealing of the solenoid valve;

The seals are severely worn;

Excessive moisture in the pneumatic valve;

Insufficient spring force.

The above are the problems that may be encountered in actual work, including but not limited to the above failures and causes.

What is an electric valve?

Electric valve, in simple terms, is a device that uses an electric actuator to switch the valve, that is, an electric actuator is used instead of manual control to control the valve.

It can be seen from the structure of the electric valve that the valve body part is not much different from the ordinary manual valve. The difference is that the hand wheel is replaced with an electric actuator.
Electric actuators can do linear and rotary movements, so in theory, manual valves can have electric versions, such as electric gate valves, electric butterfly valves, electric ball valves, electric air duct valves and other electric valves.
Electric actuators generally use electric motors as power to drive deceleration devices, and control valves through corresponding mechanisms. Therefore, the switching action of the electric valve is much slower than that of the solenoid valve. It not only has an open and closed state, but also can adjust the opening and closing amplitude of the valve according to a given signal.

Compared with the solenoid valve, the structure of the electric valve is more complicated, and the required circuit is also more complicated. However, because it is driven by a motor and has a better ability to withstand voltage shocks, the service life of the electric valve is longer than the service life of the solenoid valve, and the failure rate is also lower. The electric actuator has a large torque and can be used to control a large pipe diameter and a large flow. The disadvantage is that it is slow.
